Welcome to SportingFit, we are specialists in Group Studio Cycling, Sports Conditioning and Sports Therapy based near Basingstoke, Hampshire. We cater for those new to exercise as well as serious athletes and sports players. We also provide an injury assessment and exercise therapy programme specific to your needs, which includes soft tissue therapy, acupuncture and kinesiology taping.
Head Trainer Russ Clash is a former member of the Royal Army Physical Training Corps and has previously represented the Great Britain (Age Group) Triathlon Teams in two World Triathlon Championships. Russ is employed full time at a professional football club as Head of Medical & Sport Science, for which he has an MSc. Russ takes the majority of the Studio Cycling classes and is assisted by his wife Dale who runs the SpinCamp for beginners. Come join us, be inspired and get SportingFit.
Takes place at the Sherfield Park Community Centre, Sherfield on Loddon now four times a week with each class costing £6.50. SpinCamp is our beginners level, with SpinFit being Intermediate and SpinMax slightly more advanced. Check out the links opposite for information and detailed timings of each. Each of the classes use popular high intensity interval training protocols (HIIT) and are specific to cycle riding techniques. We believe our classes are the best in the area and are great fun and extremely interactive. Advanced booking is essential for all classes and new riders are always extremely welcome.
SportingFit offers a variety of conditioning packages to suit the needs of people who are training for a specific event or are a team sports player. We work daily with professional athletes so we know how to prepared you to achieve your sporting goals. We want you to experience how it feels to prepare to succeed in your sport, regardless of your level of ability. Sports Science support is also available for all our clients who may require additional interventions in this area. The SportingFit Clinic is due to open in 2016 which will cater for common musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries. We currently offer a mobile service for soft tissue therapy, acupuncture for sports injuries, injury assessment, advice and exercise therapy, kinesiology taping and mobilisation techniques.
